Professional and academic background

After completing my schooling and practical training in electrical engineering, I was called up to the German army to work in electrical maintenance.

I then went on to study electrical engineering and gained valuable experience in various engineering offices, where I ultimately worked as deputy manager, as the owner's right-hand man. In between, I worked in the manufacturing industry before moving to the newly founded Mannesmann Mobilfunk GmbH as an electrical planner. At the same time, I successfully completed an apprenticeship as a construction technician. It was at Mannesmann that I first came into intensive contact with the subject of occupational health and safety, which immediately fascinated me. This enthusiasm led me to become self-employed in 1996, and two years later I left the company to devote myself entirely to my own consultancy work. Since then, I have supported companies of all sizes - from small businesses to listed corporations - as well as public authorities and institutions.

Over the years, I have completed numerous training courses in the areas of environmental protection, data protection, fire safety and other topics, often at the request of my clients.

Despite my extensive professional commitments, I finally decided to realise my childhood dream and study law. The highlight of my academic career was my dissertation in the field of anti-discrimination law.

Author and lecturer

In addition to my work as a consultant, I am also active as an author and editor. My specialist articles and books on the topics of occupational health and safety, environmental protection and compliance are widely recognised. I also regularly pass on my knowledge in lectures and as a lecturer. In doing so, I attach great importance to conveying complex issues in an understandable and practical way.
